Translucent Panels

Translucent panels turn ordinary lighting into a surface. Rutong produces washi, jade-sand, gauze, PET, PP-cotton, PVC and translucent stone panels that diffuse LED light evenly, hiding the source and giving depth to feature walls, counters, ceilings and screens.
Where translucent panels are specified

Backlit feature walls in hotel lobbies, restaurants and clubs
Counters, bar fronts and reception desks with internal lighting
Ceilings and light coves needing an even glow

Advice worth asking for
Tell us the lamp type, cavity depth and target brightness and we will recommend a panel that avoids hot spots. Samples arrive as small lit swatches so the effect can be judged on site. Request samples, catalogue and FOB prices.

Natural stone veneer or resin panel – which one?
We offer two kinds of translucent stone. Translucent Stone Veneer is real natural stone, split to about 2 mm and backed with a flexible layer – thin enough to bend and transmit light, with unique natural veining in every sheet. Translucent Stone Panels are cast resin sheets (polymer resin and aluminium hydroxide) that imitate onyx and jade with a consistent, repeatable pattern in 2440 × 1220 mm sheets.
